Dan Brown takes toll on me!

DaVinci Code, Digital Fortress, Dungeons and Dragons... the list of Dan Brown books that keep me glued. Ciphers, mystery and break neck speed narratives are the trademarks of this genius writer. I like his work because he manages to maintain a high level of authentic information in his novels. I would suggest his books for any cryptography fan!

So, what happens when you are huge huge addict of Dan Brown stuff ? Well the ideas get hooked to you and the result is as follows..

Dont know whether anyone thought of this idea.. I would name it the QWERTY Keyboard Cipher Ver 1.0! Yes let me introduce to you the modus operandis of this cryptographic cipher. This cryptography is simply based on the QWERTY keyboard. In this encryption each english letter would be encoded as a letter right next to it on the QWERTY keyboard for example ... 'a' is encoded as 's', 's' as d . Further the 'p' as '{' and soon and so forth. Now you might have a genuine question what if I have a different keyboard that has some other letters, the solution I can give now is the cipher will contain the information of the keyboard type as well making the encoding and the decoding easy !!

Changing with times!

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." - Charles Darwin.

So keeping the tone of the day.. here I am with a new name to my blog, its now called "The Catharsis".

True to its name, this is the keyhole through which I would narrate and listen to all the emotions that encompass us.

So keep glued! I mean you can always add me to your favorites list ;)

Peace!

PS: The previous name of my blog "Meren Khayal" was an anagram of my name and now you know the secret !!

E-mail and Genealogy!

Queer isnt it, how in the holy earth do I correlate E-mail and genealogy. But let me place my idea before you! It is not very strange of people trying to trace their ancestors through friends, organisations, articles. But what about tracing an ancestor of yours through a mail. Yes, thats the idea I got when I received a forward which was inturn forwarded more than 15 times and in all consisted of atleast 500+ email addresses.

So, this is how it works .. the genealogy mail would be sent to all my friends urging them to forward it to their friends each time making sure that new details get appended to the original mail. Each time the mail is forwaded atleast one of the person in the "To:" group would take the responsibility to document his friends list in a central repository. So this is how the genealogy mail would keep circling the globe snowballing with the email addresses.

And BTW my sincere apologies to all "Mail Servers", all "SpamBlockers".

Let me know what you feel about this idea of mine !

PS:In my genealogy mail there would not be any of the following statements like - "Please send 20 copies of this email to people whom you think need good luck. Please do not send money. Do not keep this letter. It must leave you within 1 hour. An Employee got a promotion in 3 days after sending it. Another employee was retrenched from the same job for not sending and breaking this chain letter". I promise!! So keep an eye on those "Inboxes"

Peace!

Biography of a Sewing Needle

This is the biography of a needle named Mr. Intellect Needle. He belongs to the mild steel race with his orgins in the plains of Japan. His birth itself was a case of trial by fire. He came through all the heat of the situations and emerged into the world. He was born into a huge family of 1,00,000 needles. He spent the early part of his life in the company of some 99 others in a community which lived in a sealed a polythene bag. Their community started their living at the Stylo Tailors, Cheepurupalli- a calm and quite village in the eastern coast of India. During the early days of his life there was nothing much to do except talking to others in the closely "bound" community.

Soon the inevitable happened, members of his community started being pulled out of their cosy environs to the vast unprotected realms outside. Strange stories were told in the community about the fate of the members that left the community. It was certain that it could well be that they would never ever see them again. The departure usually was very emotional, with all the other community members praying for a good time in the ruthless world where there was always the threat of the wicked viruses , the "Rusts". It was said that anyone who failed to keep oneself ready and perfectly toned would fall prey to this virus, which would eventually lead to death.

Intellect was always worried and always felt conscious of the threat. The community head Mr. FarSight Needle always monitored the members and made them aware about the epidemic that could result even if one of the members get infected. He also had great rapport and business relations with the doctors of Sandpapers. These doctors usually rescued the community when an epidemic broke out.

Soon it was the turn of Intellect to explore the outside world. It was the 7th of July, on a very rainy day that he was rudely pulled out of his community. It was particularly hard because it was season of the outbreak of killer Rust. There were many of the Mr. Greedy Rust, Mrs Envy Rust and many others who were always on the prowl for their preys.

During the first few minutes of his "outside worldly" existence, a most wonderful thing happened to him. He met the lady of his life... Ms Hardwork Thread. She was elegant and was in a very attractive red. He fell in love with her. Ms. Hardwork also was very happy and soon they got married. They were tied together in wedlock for life. Mr. Intellect liked Hardwork immensely. He always kept her close to himself and narrated his stories to her. Together Mr & Mrs Intellect travelled various worlds, some were very tough like the tough Jeans areas and some were smooth like the Silk areas. During their lifetime they had many children some beautiful murals, embroideries and many more.

But the journey had to end, slowly but surely Ms. Hardwork was aging and getting exhausted. Her flowing length of existence was fast reducing. But Intellect loved her to the greatest extent, he even tried to get her more length to increase her span but it was not to be. On one fine day Ms. Hardwork died. It was one of the greatest shocks for Intellect, he cried and cried, cursed the God of Needles. His lady love had left him forever.

After the death of Ms. Hardwork, he was many times forced to marry many younger threads but he never married again. He rejected all the threads right away. Many humans tried their hand in forcing a marriage, they tried many tricks like enticing him through gorgeous wet threads. But Mr. Intellect was a man of honor. Because of his disobedience he was thrown out where he eventually caught the rust and died.. but the memories of Mr and Mrs Intellect will always remain with us.

God bless!

Biography Spree !

The other day I got a strange idea of writing the biographies of all those inanimate objects which sadly cant write one on their own. So here I stand with great pride in starting this singular work. Bless me !

On my list of biography characters are things from a needle to truck tire to mobile phone. Dont know where this journey will take me .. I think I will end up writing the biography of the biography itself!

So watch out and do let me know what you feel about this.

Peace!

Who Am I ?

No dont stop reading ..because its sounds too philosophical. But the truth it is not. Its a simple question, which when you pose to yourself, would have a really tough time figuring it out. To make this a bit more simple, I think everyone agrees that he/she behaves differently when dealing with different individuals .. with a close friend, a not so close friend, a family member, a stranger. The "ME" here is really contextual not objectively definable. The image you project of yourself to an individual and the individual's perception of you defines who you really are at that moment. Gradually what happens is a strange metamorphosis "YOU" try to fit into the perception you have created on the individual, there by redefining yourself, of course not completely but atleast in the context of this particular individual.

So who you really are becomes a huge question because you have projected a myriad images to different people. Then who you really are ??

I too don't know the answer but I feel that "YOU" are, what you are, when you are with your dearest ones. The reason being the images you project to the your loved or trusted ones are usually the most close to your real personality. Because the inherent "exhibitionist" in a person always comes out when he is exposed to the audience called the "world".

So until I and you discover who we really are... Lets try to merge all the images that we ever projected to a single one, so that someday we know who we really are !!

Keep trying!

Peace!

Life , Relativity and the Scale of Feelings.

It felt really great to meet old friends over the long weekend, more so because of the relativity of the fact that I had not had a decent conversation for a long long time !

All the feelings that the human brain experiences over the period of existense I feel are somehow every second COMPARED to something similar that it had experienced in the past. The flavor of this feeling is gauged from the previous experiences. Like if a person is being loved intensely it is but natural that the unconscious compares it to the best and worst this person has got and places this experience at the place where it belongs on the scale of feelings.

Now it is upto the person to memorise that scale, the entire gamut of experiences of one kind. This scale of feelings is very much important in one's life and if you memorise the "best" part of that scale you always can keep yourself and people around you happy.

And thats what William Wordsworth rightly suggests in "Daffodils".

So keep building and remembering the best side of your scale. Good Luck !
